October 9, 2014 - Deutsche Bank today announced that Elizabeth J. Ford (Jan) will join as a Managing Director and Head of Compliance, Americas. She will join the North America Executive Committee.

Ford will join after nearly 25 years with Goldman Sachs, where she most recently held the positions of Global Head of Compliance for the Investment Banking Division, the Merchant Banking Division and the Executive Office. She will be based in New York and report to Nadine Faruque, who will join the Bank as Global Head of Compliance and Member of the Group Executive Committee on December 1, and Jacques Brand, CEO of Deutsche Bank North America and Member of the Group Executive Committee.

Ford will succeed Eric Gallinek, who was formerly Head of Compliance, Americas. Gallinek will relocate to London to lead the Asset & Wealth Management Division's Global Compliance function, as the Bank continues to strengthen its global compliance management team in line with increasing regulatory requirements.

"As we fortify our management team across all critical infrastructure areas to support our growing US business, we look forward to the insight Jan will bring to the Bank," said Brand. "In addition we'd like to thank Eric for his contributions and wish him well in London."

As previously announced, Deutsche Bank is hiring 500 employees across its various control functions as part of a group of 1,300 people dedicated to ensuring that its systems and controls are best in class.

Earlier this year the Bank announced the hire of Richard Shannon as Americas Chief Information Officer and Co-Head of Group Technology and Operations Americas.
