The International Compliance Association is pleased to announce the launch of a brand new qualification in its specialist certificate series: the ICA Certificate in Financial Crime Risk in Global Banking and Markets. The Certificate, which is awarded in association with Alliance Manchester Business School, the University of Manchester, is designed for those who want to explore the financial crime risks inherent in financial markets.

The course will provide employees working in corporate banking and financial markets with greater competency in managing the risks of market manipulation, money laundering, sanctions, tax evasion and bribery and corruption. Relationship managers, salespersons, traders, those in operational roles as well as compliance professionals will benefit from the practical nature of the course, with specialist knowledge and skills that can be applied immediately to their day-to-day roles.

Bill Howarth, ICA President said:

“I am delighted that we continue to expand our specialist certificate range focusing on key areas of financial crime risk in specific services and industry sectors. This new course explores the different types of risk in corporate banking and financial markets; typologies around certain customer types; the susceptibility of major financial market products as well as the importance of a robust KYC process - it will be an asset to both individuals and firms looking to enhance their financial crime risk management processes.”

The course is available to study through ICA’s training partner, International Compliance Training and can be studied online or delivered in-house at organisations requiring large teams to be trained.
