April 2, 2014 - Erick Christensen has joined the Charlotte, North Carolina office of Protiviti, a global consulting firm, as a managing director focused on regulatory matters in the firm's Risk and Compliance practice.

Christensen has nearly 30 years of professional experience and is an expert in regulatory compliance, anti-money laundering, Bank Secrecy Act compliance and the Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA). He also has strong technical knowledge across a broad range of regulatory areas including banking, capital markets, insurance and trust.

Prior to joining Protiviti, Christensen was vice president and head of the compliance practice for Capgemini Financial Services and also led the Compliance Center of Excellence in Charlotte. From 1989 through 2011, he worked for Bank of America, where he served as a managing director and corporate compliance executive managing global compliance programs for several large organizations within the bank. Previously, he was a managing director and the chief operating officer at Banc of America Equity Partners.

Christensen earned a law degree from Golden Gate University Law School, a master of business administration degree from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, and a bachelor of arts degree from University of the Pacific. He was admitted to the California bar in 1985.
