June 26, 2013 - The explosion of data generated and used by corporations, organizations, and individuals today places constant demands on data centers, from space constraints to power usage, cooling loads, and physical security. These findings appear in a new study conducted by Siemens, UBM Tech and InformationWeek Marketing Services. According to the results, most executives feel that their organization's data centers will run out of power, cooling, or space by the end of 2014.

June 17, 2013 - The proportion of high performance computing (HPC) sites employing co-processors and accelerators more than doubled during the past two years, and a surprising two thirds of HPC sites are now performing Big Data analysis as part of their HPC workloads, according to the International Data Corporation (IDC) Worldwide Study of HPC End-User Sites. The 2013 study included sites representing 905 HPC systems, more than double the 488 systems profiled in the 2011 version of the study, IDC announced at the International Supercomputing Conference in Leipzig today.

April 8, 2013 Commenting on reports in the New York Times and Guardian newspapers on the leaking of wealth and tax arrangements data on 120,000 companies - plus 130,000 high net worth individuals and their financial agents – Varonis Systems says that this highlights the need for organisations to know who is accessing their data internally.
