February 5, 2014 - MarkLogic Corporation, the leading Enterprise NoSQL database platform company, today announced the expansion of its global partner network with the addition of ITOCHU Techno-Solutions Corporation (CTC), a company providing comprehensive support for the IT lifecycle. Based in Japan, CTC will deliver Big Data solutions based on the MarkLogic Enterprise NoSQL database platform.

Today, database technology is evolving and enterprise customers have discovered that the relational databases they have relied on for years are not flexible or agile enough to manage complex and varied data formats that are required for today's mission-critical applications. They also recognize that they cannot lower their standards for enterprise capabilities like transactional consistency, security, disaster recovery, high availability and alerting.
As a MarkLogic partner, CTC will add the MarkLogic Enterprise NoSQL database platform to its existing datawarehouse appliance and business intelligence products, and will work to develop the NoSQL marketplace, delivering the optimal Big Data platform that will address customers' data integration challenges. CTC will also collaborate with system development companies in Japan to help grow the MarkLogic user base. The company is planning to develop solutions combining MarkLogic's Enterprise NoSQL database platform and other technologies such as Hadoop and business intelligence products helping to expand its Big Data related integration and analytics services. In turn, MarkLogic will provide CTC with extensive sales and marketing support as well as in-depth technical training.
